Course Objectives This course is based on an interdisciplinary study of the basic properties and theory of color, creating color relationships and harmonies, optical, psychological and spatial effects of color and different textures in interior design.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to identify the basic color concepts.
  • will be able to explore color theory.
  • will be able to get acquainted with the color and its relationship to composition, through harmony and contrast.
  • will be able to recognize the relative aspects of color perception (e.g., psychological and cultural aspects and how the human eye perceives color) as they apply to solving design problems.
  • will be able to identify color choices and ways.
  • will apply texture choices in interiors according to their visual and psychological effects.
Course Description Introduces the use of color and texture in interior design. Emphasizes color theories, the psychology of colors and textures, and the application of colors and textures in designing interior environments.
