The Vision and the Mission of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design
The vision of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is to educate acquainted, interdisciplinary/ transdisciplinary professionals with the necessary professional equipment to respond to the needs of the simplest and smallest individual spaces that make up the end user immediate environment (office, house, etc.) in the context of human space interaction, public spaces containing in complex multiple functions (hospital, school, airport, etc.), coming into prominence private spaces ( vehicle interiors, mobile spaces, temporary spaces etc.), and alternative spaces for the future (variable spaces, virtual spaces, interactive spaces, new living environments - submarine and / or space, etc.)
The Department's mission is to provide a unique higher education program that takes into account regional dynamics within a curriculum that will meet the expectations in the context of the vision outlined above. The general structure of the program is based on the philosophy of encouraging creative and critical thinking, introducing and understanding the general order of the design process, applying the given knowledge to complex interior systems and developing vision for the future of the profession. Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design works with a mission of constantly renewed education for the researchers and creative designers who can easily perform at national and international level with an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary understanding by establishing an interactive communication with all related disciplines as well as other design fields.
